This course discusses the legal framework and practical aspects of refugee protection, return and resettlement. The course is based on the instructor’s research and his many years of refugee work in Southeast Asia and the Balkans.

KGT Remodeling Announces a “Wine and Design” Event

KGT Remodeling will be co-hosting a free “Wine and Design” event on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Ferguson Showroom located at 3406 Domestic Avenue in Naples from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The event is open to the public and will address home design trends, remodeling ideas, and how to add value to a home or condo. Anyone who is thinking about updating their residence are encouraged to attend, however space is limited and reservations are required.

“Sometimes people shy away from a great condo or house that looks dated,” says Greg Ulrich, owner of KGT Remodeling.  “Our event will hopefully help them see the possibilities in a property’s potential. We’ll  have some great examples and tips for everyone.”

Attendees will enjoy food, wine, and design tips from local industry experts from Ferguson, Kohler, L-Design Studio, as well as Greg Urich. Presenters will discuss topics on upcoming trends, design styles, current KGT projects and designs. The wine and appetizers will be sponsored by Ferguson and Kohler.

USO Show

During World War II, the Naples Depot was converted into a dance hall on Saturday nights to boost the morale of the aircrews stationed at the nearby Naples Army Air Field. In honor of Veterans Day, join us for a nostalgic USO-style show at the Naples Depot, featuring the live music, comedy and memories that brought the “greatest generation” onto the dance floor.

This year’s show will feature: Comedy by John Carfi and music by local band Suntones and a closing ceremony paying tribute to veterans from all of America’s armed conflicts. Show begins at 12:00 p.m., following the Veterans Day service in Cambier Park. Some chairs will be provided, but those attending are encouraged to bring their own. NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Collier County inaugurates an exciting fundraiser November 13 that will bring aficionados of all things equestrian together for an elegant afternoon soiree. Sips ‘n’ Saddles, to take place on a beautiful private property in Naples, will feature an equestrian jumper exhibition presented by riders from Dresden Manor Farm and Benchmark Equestrian, both in Naples, accompanied by bourbon, beer, and hors d’oeuvres. This unique event will help support NAMI’s programs to improve through education, support, and advocacy the lives of the 1 in 4 families in our community affected by mental illness.
