A Bronx Tale

Seminole Casino Hotel will host playwright/performer Chazz Palminteri’s performance of his award-winning show “A Bronx Tale” Thursday, March 23 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at the casino or by calling (800) 218-0007. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

A well-known actor, writer and director, Palminteri has appeared in more than 50 films and is best known for his performances in “A Bronx Tale,” “The Usual Suspects,” “Mulholland Falls,” “Diabolique,” “Running Scared” and his Academy Award nominated role for Best Supporting Actor in Woody Allen’s smash hit, “Bullets Over Broadway.”

On television, Palminteri has starred in a number of high profile roles, including USA Network’s series “Kojak.” He portrayed mob boss Paul Castellano in TNT’s “Boss of Bosses and starred as famed Sicilian prosecutor Giovanni Falcone in the HBO film, “Excellent Cadavers.” He also won critical acclaim as Frank Rizzoli Sr. in TNT’s hit television series, “Rizzoli & Isles,” and can be seen on the award winning television series “Modern Family” as Shorty.

Although Palminteri grew up in a tough area of the Bronx, he chose not to enter into a life associated with organized crime. He went on to pursue a career in acting, and in 1989 wrote the highly-acclaimed one man show “A Bronx Tale,” which depicted his bruising childhood in great detail. Three years later, he wrote the screenplay for the film version of “A Bronx Tale,” which was directed by Robert DeNiro and starred DeNiro and Palminteri. The film was a critical and commercial success. Later, Palminteri teamed up again with DeNiro in the hit, “Analyze This.”  He also wrote and starred in the play and movie, “Faithful,” another collaborative project with DeNiro.
