I just read an article about the economic diversity of Naples and just found out that “Naples ranks highest of any small metro area in Florida in terms of economic potential” based on a study by the Federal Reserve of Atlanta, as stated in a Naples Daily News article.

The Federal Reserve f Atlantic ranked 244 small cities and the Naples-Marco Island metro ranked #1 out of 11 small cities in Florida. In the nation, it ranked #25. The metros they studied had populations between 50,000 and 500,000. The study ranked 14 factors across 4 categories including demographics, human capital, infrastructure, and economics.

Between 2005-2013, the Naples Marco Island area population grew 8.5% and employment grew 8%. The amount of residents over 25 with a college degree grew 5.4%.
