Naples’ Best Parks
You don’t want to be stuck inside all day when you’re in Naples! Get out and enjoy the warm weather! Head to the beach, sit outside at a cafe, or stroll one of the open air shopping centers. There are plenty of activities to do and places to go where you can be outside. Check out one of Naples’ best parks. Have a picnic, bring the family, go for a run, or just laze around in the grass.
You have probably walked by Cambier park if you have been downtown on Fifth Avenue South. This park features 5 lit shuffleboard courts, 2 bocce courts, a large tennis center, and a softball field. There is a bandshell in which many performances take place like the Jazz Orchestra and Naples Concert Band. There is a large wooden playground which is a ton of fun for kids. There is a lot of open green space to have a picnic, and restrooms are available. The park is open 7am to 10pm daily. This is one of Naples’ best parks due to the wide range of activities available, as well as the entertainment that happens.

This community park is located on Vanderbilt Beach Road heading east. It is open from 8am to 10pm daily and includes many different amenities. There are 2 lit softball fields, 4 soccer fields of which 3 are lit, 4 lit tennis courts, 2 lit basketball courts, and 4 racquetball courts. If you plan to have a luncheon outside there are 8 picnic shelters, a pavilion, and restrooms. For the kids there is a lit playground as well as a water play area, so be sure to bring some swimsuits and towels. The park also offers many summer and after school camps for kids! It’s definitely one of Naples’ best parks for sports.

Veteran’s Community Park
This park is similar to Vineyards as it features many sporting facilities. There are 3 lit softball fields, 1 lit baseball field, lit bocce ball courts, 4 lit tennis courts, 4 lit racquetball courts, 1 lit soccer/football field. There are also 2 sand volleyball courts, a covered rink (usually for roller hockey). For picnics there are two covered areas. Veterans also has a dog park called Rover Run. There are two areas, one for small and the other for larger dogs. The dog park is open 7:3am to dusk and Veterans is open 8am-10pm daily. Find this park on Immokalee Road heading east towards 75. It is between Goodlette-Frank and Airport-Pulling Roads.

Gordon River Greenway
This is not your typical recreational park, this greenway is meant for exploring nature. Walk along the boardwalk and travel through untouched wildlife. This is a great spot for bird watchers, photographers, and artists. The park features paved walkways, wildlife viewing stations, educational signage. There are restrooms, a playground, and even a kayak launch area so you can explore the waterways. There are two access points, one is on Golden Gate Parkway, the other is on Goodlette-Frank Road near the Naples Zoo. It is open from 7:30am to 10pm daily. Step off the beaten path and explore the Gordon River Greenway.

This is one of the newest and one of Naples best parks. As you drive down Golden Gate Parkway towards Coastland Center mall it will be on your right. It is open daily from 8am to dusk. It is a nature park similar to the Gordon River Greenway. It is about 50 acres and includes a 5 acre lake as well as 3500 feet of boardwalk running through the natural scenery. The area is great for nature photographers, bird lovers, and those hoping to catch a glimpse of Florida’s wildlife. There is a 2500 square foot educational facility as well as restrooms, water fountains, and benches. Many people will enjoy casually strolling through, while others use the area for a scenic run.
